How can I use my lucid dreams to benefit my spirituality and relationship with God?
Q. Since beginning religious training and education, I've been having lucid dreams almost every night. Is there a connection between them? Can I use my dreaming world to contact God and know Him more fully? I'd appreciate any advice or information. When I become lucid in dreams I can remember instructions that I received previously in waking life, so any advice will be useful.

A. Dreams are a product of our minds working as we sleep to process information. Dreams definitely aren't evil and they don't always carry significance, but I think that sometimes God can use our dreams to speak to us. It seems as if our thought inhibitions are lowered in our dreams (we dream about things we would never think about during the day), so maybe it would be easier in a dream to be open-minded to what God is trying to communicate to you? I think the next time you have a lucid dream, you should try to go find God and say the things that you'd say to Him in prayer. I think it would be very personable and meaningful to have a dream-conversation with God :)

How do you make yourself lucid in dreams?
Q. I had a lucid dream the other day and want to do it again. It was amazing but it couldn't do a lot of the stuff i wanted to because i would become afraid dur to the fact it felt so real. I discovered that i was dreaming because of the place that i was in just looked so odd that i knew no on would build a building like that. I almost had one the dream before that, when i was suddenly wearning my military uniform. I asked my friend in the dream why i was wearing this becuase i just appeared on me and he said that he told me to put it on a few minutes earlier. I believed him and just went with the rest of the dream. I need some things that i can do to make myself realize that i am dreaming again. I'd pay thousands of dollars to do that again,… [cont.]

A. Practice at first by sleeping with music or the tv on and have a recorder taping the sounds the radio or tv emit. Don't focus on what you are doing too much, because you won't be able to get into the proper 'dream mode'. When you wake, listen to the recording and dont be too shocked to find that your brain probably implanted a little of the dialogue into your dream. After this, you'll slowly open up to the world of lucid dreaming. ALSO, in order to have a lucid dream, you have to be in a light sleep. Deep sleepers tend to be powerless.

What is the difference between realizing you are dreaming and actually having a lucid dream?
Q. when i tell people of lucid dreaming they say that they have done it before but they confuse it with being in a dream and then suddenly just realizing that you are dreaming...how can i make them understand that it is different??

A. There is no difference - a lucid dream is exactly that: becoming aware that you are dreaming while in a dream. However, people can then usually control their dreams with practice. So I would say the people who became aware within a dream are really having a lucid dream, they may just not be advanced enough to have some control of what is going on wihtin the dream.
