When did you start letting your dog sleep with your toddler?
Q. My son is still in a crib, he is 2. Soon we are going to try the "big boy" bed (again) and I was thinking about letting the dog sleep with him. The dog sleeps with us now, but it would be nice if they could sleep together for a few reasons, mostly added security. When did your dog start sleeping with your kid? Does it give you peace of mind for security? My son will be in a twin bed, and the dog is 65# (Vizsla).

A. i let our dog when we had one sleep with our son when he was 3yrs old and what a mistake that was, all our son did was play with the dog and wouldn't go to sleep.

How can i help my dog sleep when his tail bugs him?
Q. i just brought my dog home from the vet he had an infection on his tail and they shaved the hair and treated his wound, but he cant sleep because everytime he lays down his tail touches the ground and he jumps. I know he's tired because he's trying to sleep standing up but its not working does anyone have any suggestions?

A. If it's not already covered,put a cotton tube sock over his tail then put a tube of foam (bought or made out of a sheet) over that tape it on using a criss- cross pattern.starting at the tip down to2 inchs past the end of the sock to secure it,then back to the tip.(not to tight) let him sleep on something soft hope he sleeps better & gets well soon.Good luck

Is there anything wrong with letting my dog sleep in the bed with me?
Q. i was wondering if there is anything wrong with letting my two dogs sleep in the bed with me at night time? One is a pitt mix and the other is a yorkie. I had a friend tell me that I am nasty for letting them sleep in the bed with me. They are both inside dogs. I treat them like they are a part of my family. I don't see anything wrong with it i would just like some opinions from other people.

A. I don't see anything wrong with it. Some people are stupid and find dogs to be these disgusting creatures. I kissed my dog on the forehead once and was told off by this girl about how nasty and gross and disgusting it was. I just laughed and went on my way.
