Write down your "to do" list for the next day an hour before you plan on going to bed. 2. Don't drink caffeine after 6pm. 3. write in a journal your thoughts for the day ( but make sure it is half hour before you go to bed.) I've tried all and they do help. Q. I just recently adopted a child from Guatemala and we have been having problems with him falling asleep on his own in his crib. We always have to rock him to sleep (generally with a bottle as well) and then carefully set him in crib. If we try to put him in crib while awake, he just throws a tantrum. He is 11 months old.
