The dreams don't actually involve the final event of pulling the trigger, but they do involve holding a gun to my head. I'm waking up to these dreams and they are interfering with my ability to get a good nights rest. I have a therapist and a psychiatrist. I also am on anti-depressants already. Watch some funny movies, or read a funny or pleasant story. It sounds corny, but I love to read Reminisce magazine and learn about the lives that my parents and grandparents lived. It's lighthearted reading that doesn't evoke any negative thought patterns. Also, don't eat anything after 8 in the evening. Now, tell yourself over and over "I would never do something stupid like kill myself". Do this for several days. Say it with conviction. Before you go to bed, thank God for all of your blessings.
